The PCA Bookstore operated by the Christian Education and Publications Committee is the hub of the wheel of CEP’s multifaceted ministry. When the PCA was formed and CEP was established as one of the three program committees, it was assigned the broad categories of training and resources. Those assignments, like a prism, refracted into a much diversified list of activities.

Seminars for leadership training for officers, Bible study leaders, youth and children’s workers, men and women’s ministries, and Sunday school curriculum have been the focus of the training over the years.

Resources for use in the ministries listed above have also been assigned to CEP. Over the years, CEP has produced numerous Bible and doctrinal studies, along with other resources for local churches and individuals--working with the Stated Clerk in making available official assembly documents such as the Doctrinal Standards, The Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, The PCA Book of Church Order, and the PCA Position Papers in digest form are among this category of resources.

As most of you are well aware, there is quite a bit of competition in the book business these days; however, CEP addresses those challenges by having trained and gifted staff available for advice and recommendations regarding the best of the available resources.

While laboring to remain competitive with our resources, CEP is first committed to quality resources that are biblical and consistent with our commitment to Reformed theology.

Also, utilizing our CEP Bookstore, is a way to help support some of the ministry of CEP. Keeping the Bookstore operational and service oriented not only enables us to keep our training and resources before and available to the churches, it is also a way to encourage good solid resources, suitable for our PCA environment, reflecting who we are as a denomination.
